Welcome to The Fraudian Slip, the Identity Theft Resource Center’s (ITRC) podcast, where we talk about all things identity compromise, crime and fraud that impact people and businesses. Listen on Apple, Google, Spotify, SoundCloud, Audible and Amazon now. This week, we published our 2023 Trends in Identity Report by ITRC.
The report looks at the identity crimes reported in 2023 and how criminals convinced people to willingly share information. The report also outlines how stolen information was used to open new accounts and evade law enforcement.
ITRC Chief Victims Officer Mona Terry presented the findings from this year’s study in a webinar. We have a link below for this week’s podcast.
